“It was an excellent surprise to get to this hotel, after a whale watching tour in Husavik. We came and in the middle of nowhere found this lovely place to stay. Rooms are very big and beautiful, breakfast was very rich and we recommend going there very much. You will really enjoy it.”
“The staff were fantastic and helpful in every way. The room and views were incredible. Breakfast was wonderful and it’s ideal for viewing the Northern lights. What more could we ask for?
“Outstanding family owned hotel. Cottages are so well designed that you don’t think for a moment that they are small. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and smart personal touches that make you feel at home. Very friendly and helpful inn keeper. Good restaurant, waitresses are smiling! It’s so pleasant. The hotel is off the road in the middle of farmland, grassy hills. Very peaceful landscape indeed. Pity we couldn’t stay there longer. Maybe the next time.”
“My wife and I had a very pleasant 2-night stay at the Raudaskrida. The setting, high on a hillside meadow in the country, is lovely, and the service was excellent all around. The room was simple, very clean, and very satisfactory. We used the Raudaskrida as a base to explore Husavik and Myvatn.”
“The room was excellent. The people/service was excellent. The food was excellent. Of my 11 days in Iceland, this was my favorite hotel.”
“Nice room, helpful and friendly staff. We were travelling with two young kids (1 and 3) and they were given quite a bit of attention, which made them feel at home. Breakfast was a nice spread and dinner was said to be good but was too late for the kids, so we ate elsewhere. It was very handy that they had laundry facilities which we needed by that stage of our trip. We were also given good info re. parking and a parking card for Akureyri.”
