“One of our favorite hotels during our 2 week vacation. Very charming, clean hotel. Nice staff. We stayed in one of the cabins. We had a beautiful view of the meadows. Nice breakfast. It is close to Husavik so we had dinner in Husavik. Highly recommended.”

“This is a family run accomodation and you can certainly tell, right from the beginning a very warm and happy welcome. We got a real sense that customer comfort is a real priority and we found that nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We had one small problem in our cottage that was fixed quickly and the owners were very generous with compensating for any inconvenience. We were very impressed with their professionalism and kindness. We stayed in the cottage overlooking the lovely sheep paddock, it was cosy, very quiet and comfortable. The restaurant serves lovely food , has a great view and all the staff are very friendly. We found the location was good and close to everything we wanted to do. Soaking in the hot tub at the end of the day was a great bonus. Thank you Harald, Begga and Dad for sharing your wonderful Icelandic hospitality. We had a great time and you made our stay in Iceland even more memorable.”

“Excellent hotel; super friendly and helpful staff; great food and nice calm location and yet with less than an hour to Husavik, Akureyri, Myvatn, Godafoss and other great sights.”

“Clean, Spacious Rooms and a Great Restaurant. The hotel is in a delightful green valley very near to Lake Myvatn, Husavik, and Akureyri. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help coordinate getting a lost jacket from another hotel back to us. Highly recommend!”

“This was certainly our best experience in Iceland. The room was super-comfy, with private bathroom, something not always granted when you travel through Iceland. The location is great, far enough from civilization to enjoy truly silence and nature, but not too far so that in a few minutes by car you’re back on the Ring Road. The hotel has two hot tubs in the meadows that guests may use, free of charge (another huge plus for the place). Only going there during winter to enjoy a view of the northern lights while having the hot tub is worth the trip. Additionally, the owner is one of the most caring, and kind people we’ve ever met. We got a flat tire, on Sunday morning; not a “normal” Sunday morning, it was also the recurrance of a national seamen festival. Nonetheless, he helped us through the morning until we had the tire repaired and we managed to keep our agenda for the whole day intact. Not many would have helped in such a charming way!”
